Hello and welcome to The App Register. This is an off-shoot of Mobile Industry Review (“MIR”), providers of news and perspective for 250,000 mobile industry executives.

We launched The App Register a long time ago as a place to post all the mobile application press releases we receive. It’s difficult for us to cover absolutely everything we receive at MIR, but here on The App Register we can virtually guarantee we’ll be able to publish your application news stories.

We ummed and ahhed about the validity of simply publishing press releases without editorial comment — and eventually we decided that, yes, it’s a good idea. You’ll continue to get the editorialised perspective on MIR, whilst here on The App Review, you’ll simply get news that’s been sent to us completely unfiltered. We’ll literally cut and paste. And if we can, we’ll stick a few images in there too. Our view is that some people will get value from an archive of stories here (as apposed to the usual editorialised style at MIR).
