Bandung, Indonesia – gdiplus today is pleased to introduce Blogshelf II, their free RSS reader application specifically designed for the iPad, which collects blog entries and new stories in an RSS feed. RSS, or Resource Description Framework Site Summary, is often called “Really Simple Syndication” for the ease with which it allows the publication of and subscription to content. This app is an aggregator that collects frequently updated published works and provides the user with a collection of blogs, and news articles from pre-selected sources. Specifically created for moms, dads, seniors, photographers, bloggers and non-technical users who love to read short articles on subjects of interest, Blogshelf II is an intuitive, fluid, and easy to use application in the News category.

Feature Highlights:
* Read favorite blogs with an uncomplicated user interface
* Import for Google Reader
* Share via Instapaper, Pocket, Facebook, and Twitter
* Retina graphics support on the new iPad
* Ad-free reading experience
* Touch-screen gestures make navigation easy

A frictionless, clean, and fun application, it is a full-featured RSS reader. All of the features are hidden, yet easily accessible when needed, making this app uncluttered and user-friendly. Unlike other RSS feed applications that require complicated efforts for navigation, Blogshelf II leverages the intuitive touch features of the iPad. Users can easily subscribe to news feeds and navigate between blogs very conveniently, using pinch gestures to open and close blogs. Photographers will appreciate Blogshelf II because they can zoom article photos to full screen simply by tapping the photo. This app does not require users to hunt down a small button to navigate. Photos can be closed with a quick pinch gesture.

To subscribe to a blog, users simply tap the Subscribe button on the top left of the screen. Users are then given the option of searching among and adding blogs from categories of Featured, Top Blogs, Recents, OPML, Google Reader, or Blogger Private Blogs. Users may also easily find blogs with the Search feature. Readers can simply tap Subscribe to add a blog to Blogshelf II. Blogs are added to the Blogshelf II shelf and feature blog covers for easy access. Users may tap on the top left corner of a blog cover to manually refresh a blog. A zoom-in pinch inside a blog cover opens any blog.

Blog covers also allow the user to easily see, at a glance, which blogs contain unread information. A colored band at the top left of each blog cover indicates if there are unread blog entries. Tapping on the top right corner of a blog cover manually marks all articles in the blog as read. If there is no color on the corner, there are no unread articles. A red band means at least one new article was published within the last 24 hours. Faded red indicates a new blog entry was posted within a week, while a dissolving red band indicates articles older than one week. User may tap and hold for one second inside a blog cover to change to edit mode, enabling organization or deletion of blogs.

An important difference between Blogshelf II and other RSS reader apps is, that while other RSS reader apps available on the App store are designed for news junkies who skim a lot of articles, Blogshelf II is designed for users who may subscribe to a small number of targeted, favorite blogs, allowing the user to give their full attention to reading all of the articles from the blogs they have chosen. By focusing on specific sources of content, users never miss important articles of interest.

“Blogshelf II is the RSS reader you have been waiting for,” stated gdiplus’ Feiry Agustinus. “Follow all of your favorite blogs and never miss a blog entry again.”
